End of Life Doula support in Adelaide.

We support people who are dying, and the family and friends who are walking that journey beside them. Our role is to bring steadiness, clarity and emotional support during a time that can feel uncertain, complex or overwhelming.

You do not need to have everything organised before reaching out. A gentle first step is simply a 30-minute consultation to talk through your situation and what kind of support might help.

You do not need to know exactly what you are looking for. This is simply a safe and confidential conversation to talk about what is happening and whether we are the right support for you.

How we can support you.

Support is shaped around your needs and may include:

• Preparing for the final stage of life
• Emotional support for the person who is dying
• Guidance and reassurance for family and carers
• Helping to communicate wishes and preferences
• Continuous presence during the final days, if requested
• Assisting the family with what to expect
• Calming and steady guidance after death for those left behind

Support takes place at home, in hospitals and in aged-care facilities across Adelaide and surrounding suburbs.

What to expect when we work together.

Every person and every family is different. Support might include a single visit, ongoing guidance across weeks or months, or presence during the final days.

During our first conversation, we will:

• Talk about what you or your loved one need most, right now
• Identify what would help you feel more supported and prepared
• Explore how we can walk alongside you in a way that feels comfortable

There is no pressure to make decisions until you are ready.

Advance Care Directive planning & preparation.

This session includes discussing your healthcare wishes and preparing your formal Advance Care Directive document so it can be witnessed.

End of Life support packages.

Blocks of time can be pre-purchased and used however you need, including planning sessions, emotional support, welfare and social visits, advocacy, research, transport assistance and general end-of-life support.

• 5 hours – $400
• 10 hours – $770
• 20 hours – $1500

Hours are counted in 30-minute blocks. Time is tracked, and a timesheet is shared at regular intervals.

Active dying support package.

12 hours of continuous support during the final stage of life.

This includes:

• Bedside support for the person who is dying
• Preparing the environment according to their wishes (music, lighting, flowers, candles etc.)
• Emotional and practical support for family and friends
• Advocacy to ensure wishes are respected
• Communication with medical teams
• Assistance with funeral or post-death arrangements
• Support for organ donation processes if relevant
• Anything else required during this phase

If support is needed beyond 12 hours, additional hours are $120 per hour.
Availability during this phase is flexible and responsive.

Additional or ad-hoc support.

• $88 per hour during daytime hours
• $120 per hour after hours or when on-call

Time is counted in 30-minute blocks and includes travel within the Adelaide metropolitan area.

A gentle note about fees.

You are welcome to use our services flexibly. Some families only need a planning session, while others prefer blocks of hours or support in the final days. We can talk through what feels right during the free 30-minute consultation.

If cost is a concern, we can discuss options during the consultation.
